Today Friday 5th of Lent – April 4th we had Stations of the Cross in English at 11 am and at 6:20 in Spanish these last one lead by the the young from our Parish Salesian Youth Group, they had after a short debrief and also soup with bread donated from one our parishioner and benefactor.

Hoy Viernes 5to de Cuaresma – 4to de Abril tuvimos el Vía Crucis en Inglés a las 11 am y a las 6:20 en Español este ultimo fue dirigido por los jóvenes de nuestro Grupo Juvenil Salesiano Parroquial, luego tuvieron una breve charla informativa y también sopa con pan donado por uno de nuestros feligreses y benefactor.

Today at the Spanish Mass 11 am at our Parish: we had the second scrutiny for Catechumens, who are candidates for the sacraments of initiation, is typically held on the fourth Sunday of Lent, today’s Gospel invited both parishioners and candidates to reflect on our own spiritual blindness: the prejudices, pride, and disbelief that sometimes prevent us from seeing Jesus at work in our lives. Just as the blind man was healed after washing in the Pool of Siloam, we too are called to immerse ourselves in the living waters of Baptism and renew our faith.

Hoy en la Misa en español de las 11 am en nuestra Parroquia: tuvimos el segundo escrutinio para los Catecúmenos, quienes son candidatos para los sacramentos de iniciación, el Evangelio de este Domingo nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra propia ceguera espiritual: los prejuicios, la soberbia y la incredulidad que a veces nos impiden ver a Jesús obrando en nuestras vidas. Así como el ciego fue sanado tras lavarse en la piscina de Siloé, nosotros también somos llamados a sumergirnos en el agua viva del Bautismo y a renovar nuestra fe.

The 29th General Chapter of the Society of St. Francis de Sales has elected the new Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard.

He is the 11th successor of Don Bosco, called to lead the Salesian Congregation and to perpetuate its charism in the service of young people, especially the poorest and most vulnerable, in 136 nations around the world. (info take it from ANS: Agenzia Info Salesiana).

El 29.º Capítulo General de la Sociedad de San Francisco de Sales ha elegido al nuevo Rector Mayor, el P. Fabio Attard.

Third Sunday during Lent at Spanish Mass 11 am at our Parish: we had the first scrutiny for Catechumens, who are candidates for the sacraments of initiation, is typically held on the third Sunday of Lent, which is March 23rd, 2025, and focuses on conversion and the new life that will begin through the sacraments.

En la Misa del 3r Domingo de Cuaresma en español de las 11 am en nuestra Parroquia: tuvimos el primer escrutinio para los Catecúmenos, quienes son candidatos para los sacramentos de iniciación, normalmente se lleva a cabo el tercer domingo de Cuaresma, que es el 23 de marzo de 2025, y se centra en la conversión y la nueva vida que comenzará a través de los sacramentos.
